My first year at SUNY Binghamton, emotions mixed with a confused bath of new relationships, and responsibility. In 2020, the pandemic plagued people with a feeling of isolation which makes these images ring, tainted by a hollow interior. When faced with change, people question themselves.

It is easy to put up walls and conceal emotions. It is difficult to accept the changing tide within yourself. Looking back upon personal growth with new perspective can feel stale. What you could have been, if only you could go back and relive the moment without the very real limitations of the human experience. I want you to forgive yourself for not always taking the opportunity. The anxiety and pain which guide each part of life take up space,  leaving less to accomplish and share with those you love.

Musical friends create musical events, which create ideal opportunities for capturing other artists. Most photos in this section were taken at a show my long time friends Signal Coast were playing in. Both in and around the venue, people drank and chatted about life, music, love, and performances happening live. Everyone looked so beautiful that night, it was one of the days in which nothing important happened before the sun went down. Some of my favorite memories are of concerts and of the people who love music. Together it makes memories worth collecting, and to experience art with others makes life worth living.

In the summer months, in between studying, I filled my time with a job as a TA at NYFA film school. In the postion I helped young film makers use their equipment properly and acted as a mentor for their vision. After a couple summers assisting kids I switch roles from TA to Photographer of the teen program. I followed classes, hopped between classrooms and captured the moments of spark and joy that made time at camp feel so special. It was at NYFA I started to realize that photography is somthing I could get used to as a career. Any position behind a camera is one where I will know that I am doing my best work.

New York City Architecture is a lot like its inhabitants. Wild, diverse, and beautiful; I could capture as many gorgeous pictures as I want and never run out of something new. It is the striking contrast of old and new which makes lower manhattan such gem for highlighting the differences in their styles. In a world consumed by viral efficiency, It is not entirely surprising we no longer see buildings created with such attention and love. When observing the large glass obelisks that loom over our heads, It is a heartbreaking reminder of the twisted priorities of capitalism. What ever happened to the love of the game? Architects are crying because the ultra wealthy have too much creative control, and too little sense of style.
